How does weather effect how much salt there is in the Huson River?
I’m doing a science project and I need to know why there is salt in the Hudson River, in other words, what causes it? I think it has something to do with weather, and depending on how hot or cold the weather is, there is more or less salt in the Hudson River. I need to know how weather causes this. If anyone knows anything, please tell me. A website would be good too! Thanks!

The Indians had another name for it:
Muhheakantuck – means "great waters in constant motion" or, more loosely, "river that flows two ways." It highlights the fact that this waterway is more than a river – it is a tidal estuary, an arm of the sea where salty sea water meets fresh water running off the land.
